who moved my galaxies?

Check this out.

A billion light years of basically no galaxies. Imagine that. An empty space astronomically vaster than that between George W. Bush's ears. It would take light a billion years to get from one side of that load of nothing to another. A billion years ago on Earth, multicellular life had not been around long and the Cambrian explosion was a long way off.

Unless that void actually is the inside of Bush's head, and the discoverers had pointed their telescopes toward Washington DC. That would explain a lot.
